Is it really that time of year?

Is it really that time of year or is my asparagus early? Last year it got snowed on and soon disappeared but this year is even earlier. I am on cold wet Kent clay so wasn't expecting it yet. Does anyone else have any up yet?

No sign of mine here in Surrey. Am not expecting them for another couple of weeks at least - remember them just starting to show as I moved in to current house mid April last year. Previous owner had kindly left 20 or so of them for us!
