Is it to late to seed

    Hi is it to late to put seed down for a lawn, basically starting from scratch, bare soil.... any advise appreciated 0)

    No now is the optimum time to sow grass seed. the September soil is warm, wet and in excellent condition for sowing dont leave it too late, sow before the first frosts

    I would say it needs to be done within the next 10 days, BUT it depends where you are located. Scotland forget it, South Coast you have a month.:gnthb:

    As colin says, now is the best time of the year to put down grass seed :thumb:

    End of October? Rubbish, the grass needs to germinate and be growing away before winter.

    Yes sow anytime now October will be too late but can be improved with growmore in the spring from a late autumn sowing
