It looks like dry soil, no sign of life.

Are they outside? Either birds or heavy rain maybe washed them away?

hello the soil is dry as i had to go away over christmas but i am wondering do i keep watering them and hope it sprouts again. Should i put some sort of plant growth formula in the water.
Im afraid i cant find any pictures of them when they had sprouted. It is growing in the kitchen indoors . I was waiting until they were a healthy height and until the snow had gone before planting them outside

The reason I asked if they were outdoors is the soil looks uneven as though a bird or cat has been in there. Letting it dry out probably killed the seedlings then, if they were in the sun, the seedlings would have been dessicated.

You will need to sow again, no need for additives. Is it seed compost or soil from the garden?

I'd use seed compost and ensure you keep it watered, moist not soggy. Never let it dry out.

Mixing in soil may introduce pathogens that may cause damping off. Also you might get weed seeds.
