    hi everyone

is spring here at long last after a busy weekend cleaning out greenhouse and potting on plants, i feel that spring is in the air with a bit of sunshine coming through we should all be able to get down to some serious gardening. albeit it a little bit later than usual, seasons are certainly changing the gardening calendar is no longer the guide book that we have allways adhered to . must be climate change.
does anyone agree or is it just my area.:cnfs:

You're not wrong, the climate has changed. We now get the best "summer" weather in May and June (well, the last couple of years anyway) whilst July and August are a bit rubbish. Not sure if we need to blame climate change that the politicians witter on about all the time or just a shift in temperature.

Beware, we can still get snow, even in April (like we had last year!). But I agree, the sunshine here this morning was lovely :)

The sun has certainly got a lot more warmth in it now as opposed to a month ago.

So spring feels like its here at times.

Bet the soil temps are still pretty cold though.

It was all over the shop here, beautiful sunny morning-warm sun, then a spot of rain then hail, then rain then sunny again.

Judging by the amount of division I have been able to get on with this last week I would say Spring is just around the corner.

It's about time Spring decided to arrive. We've had some nice, Spring-like days alternating with very cold, chilly ones. I've got so much to do..................

March still comes in like a lion, and, with a bit of luck, goes out like a lamb
So ... I can't see it as being later than usual. The daffys are opening, snowdrops and crocus still here, Japanese maples buds are swelling or even opening ever so slightly and loads and loads of rain
Spring must be just around the corner :)

I noticed there are little green buds on our lilac tree today :thumb:
and there were catkins on the roadside bushes (on the way to the supermarket).

I remember Nerja as being one of smells and tastes-the restauraunts were fabulous, and the walk back to the villa with the heavy scent of the jasmines were a knockout.

Right at the back (i.e. toward land) of Nerja and up a steep climb, as I remember it!, used to be (maybe still is) a restaurant that served lamb shanks. We each got a whole shank, huge meal, cooked on an open grill outside. Fanstasic, and great view (of the sea i presume, but I can't quite rememebr how far inland it was). Mind you ... 10 years or more since I was there ...
