Yep, I see a lot of fresh buds appearing on my Contorted Hazel, even though it's losing leaves. The weather is incredibly mild for this time of year.

I too have a confused garden. My patio rose is now on to it's 3rd flush of flowers and primroses, primula and snowdrops are flowering happily alongside those of the bedding plants (planted in May) which still remain. My lupins are still dead though!

I`m wondering what I should do. If anything, when the frosts arrive.

Hi Capney, I think it's quite normal for some plants to do a little flush of flowers in the autumn.
My primulas always do a good show in the autumn then come back again in spring. In my last garden I had many rhododendrons and most of them did an autumn flush and one put on the whole show in autumn and came back in the spring.
The roses always do some late flowers. I usually manage to cut something for Christmas day.
I wouldn't worry about it - I think the world is all in order.

So is this the first of next years? Or the last of last years?
    Taken today.

I've just noticed my cherry tree, as well as losing it's leaves has flowers appearing - not sure if this is normal or not? I've not noticed anything like it before in Autumn.
