If it's any consolation, it's lashing it down and blowing a gale here. The buckets are out because the roof has decided to leak! It never rains but it pours! :D

Checked out my last year's diary and what do you know - the weather was very similar at the end of May last year to what it is today.

It started to get much warmer about the second week of June! So only a few days to go before we can dust off our sun hats and have tea on the patio!

Fingers crossed! The rain and the sun combined are making the grass grow like crazy, but I can't cut it! It makes every job that much longer, when you have masses of grass to bag up!!
It's gorgeous just now, but the ground is water-logged after masses of rain :(

The poor weather can not win, first its too cold, and we can't get going, then its too dry, and we are having to water to early in the year, now its too wet, and we can't plant, soon it will be its too hot, and our plants are wilting.

I for one am very glad to see all this rain, the kind of steady rain that does a lot of good, and not that fine mizzle that is so depressing. Just as long as it finishes soon.

High pressure in the offing, and the sun will reappear [IMG] in time for me to recut the lawn which has shot up with all this water :( .

The problem with all this rotten weather is, that it will carry on raining until July, then we shall have 2 weeks of sun in August when the weathermen will say we have a drought on, and haven't we had a hot summer?

    I think not

Does anyone know how to grow rice?

Our back lawn is so full of water,we are thinking of turning it into a paddyfield.

No wonder everyone is leaving this country to live in warmer climes.

I think I will join them.
Now where did I leave my Umbella,Gloves, Scarf, Shorts.....

What a stroke of luck; If it wasn't lashing down you might not have realised that the roof needed attention.
