is there a sweet pea expert out there?

    I ADORE Sweet Pea's and last year i actually managed to grow some to near perfection.

    I just wondered if anyone had any tips on them in general??

    my main tip is to sow them in loo rolls, and nip out the tips as they grow to encourage strong growth! Hope you can get more than that, Sweat Pea! (P.S. you deserve congrats for getting things to grow at all in L'pool! I used to live there, so I'm allowed to say that BTW!)

    Thank you, the pool isn't that bad, things do grow you know hehe..

    I shall look forward to growing them again this year, love the smell.

    Maybe i'll add a picture to show off my prize peas!!!! :D

    Sweet Pea, mind the pic, looking forword to seeing your peas, planted some myself this year, so will see how they go...

    Getting things to grow in Liverpool isn't too difficult, its whether they'll still be there in the morning that's the problem.

    Loo rolls work great, but I'm completely sold on root trainer pots, they are even better for sweet peas.

    you are so right, Rich! We had nasturtiums growing in the front and the caterpillars got nicked! - agree about root-trainers too, btw - but loo rolls are cheap and recycling!!
