    Any ideas on what this is? I've looked up pitcher plants and worts, but to no avail. DSC077481a.jpg

    Arum probably maculatum. It is pollinated by flies which is why it looks as if it is carnivorous.

      Yep! Agree with Pal :blue thumb:. Its common name is Lords and Ladies or Cuckoo Pint.

      Get rid of it as it's in the wrong place and can be a bit of a b.... to get rid of if you leave it too long. The roots will end up going down deep.

      It's a pity because the flower looks OK and in the autumn the bright red seeds on the stem look good, but the seeds will spread the plant everywhere.

      They're OK in a wild area of a garden (as long as they're kept under control) or in a woodland setting.
