    Hi there,

Bought this about 8 months ago, it didn't do a lot for ages but since resiting it it appears to be growing. I had bought it as a Lilac Bush but can anyone confirm this for me and is it REALLY that slow growing (sigh)

    Newbie,

A little help is better than none at all, if it makes you feel better, remeber i thought i had a blackcurrant bush growing from damp course - i.d'd by Palustris as a member of nightshade family, and there i was all ready to make a smoothie (have a thread on it) [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

    Paula,

You really dont want to ask me. My best advice about sun is maybe look for it on www.shootgardening.co.uk, and see what it thinks about the lilac that looks closest to yours. They show sun exposure.

I hope my advice doesn't kill you plant [IMG]

It certainly looks like a lilac. I have one and when I planted it, it took so long to get going, I almost pulled it out but then I noticed a little bud. It is now growing very well.

It's definitely a lilac. I'd leave it alone for a bit, let it sucker, and transplant some of the suckers.
