I have lots of these small red berries in my garden. I am a complete novice and cannot identify this. Would appreciate advice including whether or not these are edible. I also have another question ( new to gardening ) - my potato plants vanished. One moment they were there and the next, all gone. Any ideas or should the second question be on a different thread. All help appreciated and many thanks image.jpg

Thankyou. Just looked the link up. I would never have guessed. Presumably those berries will produce those lovely star shaped yellow flowers. V grateful.

No, its the other way around, the flowers produce the berries.
You must have missed the flowers.

Unless neglecting to water them was the problem, I placed some potato bags away from my others, forgot about watering, and those plants disappeared!
