IS this an imported impostor ladybird or is it OK?

    hello,
    i keep finding these ladybird-looking bugs in my garden: are they imported from abroad or are they ok to keep?

    It looks like a Japanese beetle. They try very hard to get in your home to nest over the colder months.

    Oops, it is not a Japanese beetle - but it is not a lady bird. I don't know the real name for it but it does try invade your home. Been there!

    I dont care what kind they are as long as they eat Aphids.
    I can remember seeing those kind when I was a kid so hardly think it can be any invader.

    Looks like a fairly ordinary ladybird to me.

    Unless it has white parts on the front of its face it is a native,
    Tytthaspis sedcimpunctata.
