      Hi Dips

Looks like the DR to me , pruning group 2
so you need to keep a framework which is easy to do , so NO hard cutting back as the more you cut off in eraly spring the less flowers you will have , and pruning in the summer as such but you can give it a tidy over but thats all and cut back some of the stems to buds may encourage more flowers.

        Clematis pruning: group two
Regular pruning of clematis encourages strong growth and flowering and keeps the growth in check. Left unpruned, clematis can turn into a mass of tangled stems with a bare base and flowers well above eye level. Clematis in pruning group two are the large-flowered hybrids that flower in May to June and should be pruned in late winter or early spring and after the first flush of flowers in summer.

        Quick facts
Suitable for Large-flowered clematis hybrids, flowering in May and June
Timing Prune in late winter or early spring and after the first flush of flowers in early summer
        Difficulty Moderately easy

its doing great , I had a feeling you planted last year , it would appreciate a mulch around the roots and a good watering can of tomato feed every week or twice a week if you make it a weak feed it will keep it flowering for longer , for some reason most people neglect to feed and water and especialy when growing on a fence or wall where the water very rarely soaks in
