    I'm hoping it is....but may be too early to tell. This was hidden behind a conifer in the Sunny Border. Any thoughts?

    Certainly looks like it. I have a whole bank of this in my garden in my house in Orkney. After the leaves die down and turn brown I set it on fire and the following year it come back brilliantly.

    Looking at the dead leaves it could, possibly, be Iris sibirica.
