    Hello
    Can you ID this plant from 20140920_173044.jpg 20140920_172946.jpg the pics please ? Its growing all over my garden like topsy! I think its Geum but am not sure.

      If it is Geum urbanum then you are going to have a lot of weeding to do. It is one of the most pernicious seed weeds going. If the plants flower with tiny yellow flowers on top of a tall stem, then that is what it is. In that case get rid before the thing sets seeds or you will have hundreds of them (sounds like you already have) all over the garden for years to come.

      I totally agree. This garden was plagued with it when I moved in and three seasons later it's still plagued with it.

      The gaps between the leaves running down the stem seem too close for Wood Avens. I'd wait and see.

      I quite like Geums :-) but you are right, it is popping up everywhere. Fortunately its quite easy to pull up.

      Judging by the seedlings all around it, I still reckon it's Geum urbanum. Be ready, very ready, to yank it out before it sets seed, GG!
