20140801_113132.jpg But they are onions right?

What do you see in this photo? Onions or Chives? I see the baby kale :)

But I supposedly planted chives and got onions.

All you need now is some mashed spuds http://pickyeaterblog.com/mashed-potato-cakes-with-onions-and-kale/

After your tasty meal, email that pic to whoever's seeds they were and complain (explaining it's now too late to sow chives so they don't simply send you a replacement packet that might be out of date by next year - had some try that with me before) and you might get a replacement plus a money off voucher.

P.S. Always save the empty seed packets in case something goes wrong and if they're from T&M turn them upside down before opening as they print the batch number across the top flap which is the bit you tear off when opening the packet then they ask you for the batch number when you complain they were the wrong seeds, none germinated, etc.

Spring onions are tastier than chives. Every cloud has a silver lining!
