It started as a jungle....

Hi guys it started up 8 ft high I have cut a load down and now I'm trying to dig it out but all I keep finding is bits of weed. I don't know if I'm digging deep enough as I'm still finding roots deep down. I'll try uploading some pics from my laptop when I get a chance, does anyone think I'm doing the right thing to just keep digging. I should have researched a bit more to find out what weeds they are, or whatever.
Just wondering if anyone can tell me what weeds these are.(if they are lol)
I'm a newbie into this, I'm enjoying it and I think it might become my new hobbie.

 

I'm sorry but it's impossible to identify what these are from what there is left of the plant/s. Just dig out what you can and see if anything re-shoots next year.
