I've also ordered today another trachycarpus for the bottom right of the border to add height until the miscanthus, ligularia and musa get going.

It looks fab! I can't believe how good the black and cream fences look, may steal that idea!

Can I ask how do you get the lining of your lawn edge so straight? What tools do you use.

The edging is done by eye, and I use wilkinson sword edging shears. :dancy: :dbgrtmb:

Your driveway looks smashing too mate - you must be rightly proud (and your neighbours must be chuffed to have you as a neighbour) :ccheers:

looks good.. your garden is pushing way ahead of mine.. most of mine hasn't even started growing yet, and the trees aren't even showing signs of leaf bud yet by me (though they are up your way as I was up that way today).

Your border looks like it has moved away from exotic and more into herbaceous perennial style gardening (If I'm right?)

That fence looks really good, I'd never think to mix black and cream/white together, but that really works, it looks very modern!

                      Hi Stephen,

The borders have lots of evergreen hardy stuff, just for winter colour really and backbone.

The gunnera, musas, euphorbias, dahlias and everything else that was there last year are yet to show, so hopefully will be packed in August.

I'm in the garden every spare minute val, checking, tidying, watering, feeding, painting, cleaning, planting, tweaking etc.... Love it! I don't think there's anything more rewarding and relaxing than gardening, it's great to have a end result for the time that is put in. I

I'm growing around 200 + plants from bulbs, corms, seeds to go in, so hopefully, fingers crossed the borders will be full to bursting come August!! Mainly hot colours, reds, oranges, yellows...... Can't blinkin' wait!!!
