No photo (yet) because it's still early days ...

About a year ago, a youngish cat turned up on my rear porch. I didn't encourage him, just didn't shoo him away.

During the course of the year, I have had visits, none predictable; I have seen him mousing, he turns up at all hours (even when I was studying and popping to my porch at many an unearthly hour!) so doesn't appear to have a particular time when he might be "at home".

The past few weeks though, he has been far more frequent, looking lean, ear has hole in it and hanging around my garden for quite long spells. He ignores my chooks and ducks, but, the moment I am there he is by my side.

I took the liberty of stroking his head one day (he liked that), but, the moment I touched his pelvis, he bit me! Fair enough, there must be a reason he doesn't like it; and is a bit feral.

The past few days, looking ever leaner, he's been an almost constant visitor. Mr Mum gave in and gave him some of our cat kibble. The cat wolfed it down!!

Now, he doesn't want to leave and sits in the sun, parallel with the chicken coop, waiting for those moments when I go out the porch.

Seems I've been adopted! We've chosen to refer to him as "Colin" (as in "Colin Feral" :heehee: )

As I was saying ....jpg Ras Grill 9 Feb 10.JPG Mum, we have done this many a time. Rasputin (the Little Red Guy ... I have pics of all my cats up in the Pets Section) was the last who adopted us. He arrived out of the orchards and wouldn't leave so we gave in, even though we had three already. He was an ill little fellow and nine months and €300 later (after the cat society helped out) we had to have the little fellow put to sleep. I talk to him now at the bottom of the garden ... I've put these pics up not long ago ...
