I've just found a rose

Hi everyone, I've just been watering some pots and found a tiny rose growing in my gravel, I only have two roses both in pots (Teasing Georgia and golden celebration) so I've ruled out suckers, teasing georgia was bought bare root this year, last years golden celebration I pruned in February and composted, as the golden celebration flowered last year I'm thinking maybe last years seed?

 

Is it close to a fence mazambo? Could it have grown through from a neighbours garden?

 

It's about 4ft away from the fence and the closest roses of my neighbour are in pots, but I suppose that wouldn't rule out seeds from there.

 

Wild roses seed easily and spread far and wide by birds. I’m thinking that is what you’ve got. Grow it on and see what you get. If it’s in an inconvenient place, pot it up in autumn and you’ll probably see the first flowers next year.

I dug the rose up but didn't get much tap root because it was growing flush to a tree stump so I wasn't very hopeful but it's survived so hopefully we'll see what it is this year.
