I've not been about much lately

I've not been about the forum much of late. Not because I'm bored of it, not because anyone has piddled me off or for any other reason other than a tangled love life. Although that situation is now resolved I'll only be about infrequently for a while.

So fear not, it's not your fault it's mine.

 

Good to see you @longk ...wondered where to pigging 'ell you where..you've been missed.

 

Have noticed your absence and beautiful photography of all things exotic, but pleased you have not abandoned us.

They are and I'm not going to comment beyond the following;
The circumstances in which I met my new partner were such that I could not avoid having a long and deeply personal conversation with her. After three hours we decided to meet weekly for a chat as friends and introduced ourselves and shook hands. That handshake changed everything - it was like an electric shock and genuinely heartstopping. It took a couple of months before one of us broached the subject as both of us were struggling with what had happened for our own reasons. During that period my (now) ex suffered a terrible experience which left me in the position of having to support her as she got through it. So I was having an affair, albeit a chaste affair, unable to change my feelings yet having to be a rock to the woman that I would ultimately have to hurt myself. I'm not looking for sympathy or anything like that (and there are two members of this forum who know what my ex suffered who are probably disgusted with me right now) but I could never have envisaged myself being in such a situation until this happened.
We are all sorted now. My new partner and I are very happy and things with my ex ended without any ill feeling (she was in London yesterday for work and we met up for dinner yesterday evening) and the financials are done and dusted awaiting signatures. But it was a headspinner for a few months.

Our heart rules where love is involved and more often than not we just have to sit back, hold tight and see if it's going to be a bumpy or smooth ride, often with many dark tunnels .Thankfully you have come out the other side now and things have settled....I wish you all the happiness in the world. x

 

You can't change how you feel Longk despite you feeling bad about breaking your previous relationship. I wish you both happiness for your future together.
