Ivy

Could anyone tell me if there is a right or wrong time of the year to plant Ivy. I have a large north facing wall that I would like to cover as soon as poss so i would also like to know what type to grow for fast growth

 

Hi and welcome. If you are buying Ivy in pots then you can plant it any time. Plain leaved varieties are usuall quicker growing than variegated, but look at this link for some fast growing varieties:
