Last year i was given some Jalapino seed a little late in the year. I did get a few plants but they didn't do to well. But did manage to overwinter 2 plants. These are now in the greenhouse and doing ok they are just starting to flower. is it possible to take cuttings and when is the best time. I did sow more seed earlier this year but they failed badly.

Thats a good question. If the plants are woody, then it might be possible. You might try layering see if that works.

Cant say that I have ever tried but I have a suspicion that its not that difficult.

Cut off a couple of shoots two or three inches long and put them in a jar of water, I'd be surprised if they dont root.
