Jamaican Weed or South African Plant?

    I live in Jamaica and try to grow a variety of South African plants on Jamaican soil (a bit clayish). I saw these plants growing, and wonder if these are Jamaican weeds (unwanted) or not.

    :thumb: OK Sven the first looks like it could one I know does it have yellow trumpet shaped flowers & how long if it does..!!??

    The other I a not so sure of, I need to have a look in my books etc, so will come back to you later....:thumb:

    :wink: Oh & just to say I have a Cerasee vine just started growing in my greenhouse.. I had sown the seed months ago & forgotten about them as nothing seemed to happem, then in our very hot weather it sprouted.. Not sure this bodes well for our winter but will see if I can get it through.. I also have 2 other vines growing that I can see in flower in my memories, but have not pinpointed yet so will defo have a book trawl now with yours..!! :thumb:

    1: the flowers are maybe a bit more than half an inch long. The long seed pods measure maybe two inch.

    OK Sven, these are my first thoughts on your #2 plant with the yellow flower.... Is this the same..?? Just a though & my first one...

    That looks very similar to a Tiger tree we had in South Africa. It has a large canopy and extensive roots.
