    Hi

Some of the Jap Onions are going to seed they tell me when they go to seed you can still leave them in the ground however they say when you pick them later on because they went to seed they dont keep as long any views on this and is it correct.

Oh dear Golfer our Jap. onions are just swelling up so as yet so none have gone to seed.

Did you maybe push the onion sets into the soil rather than pop them into a hole? as this can make them go to seed.

The trouble with Jap.Onions is that they simply don't last as long as 'normal' onions storage-wise but I love the taste of these mild onions so much I planted hundreds of them and am just waiting to pick my first beauty! Hel.xxx.
