    Is it too late to plant Japanese onions ?

      Sets or seed, too late for seed but sets should be OK I would think.

        I've grown some from seed sown in August and haven't planted them out yet, need to do so soon. Too late for sowing seed now as pete says, but sets will be fine.

          Thank you both ... yes I meant sets. I haven't bought any yet, and wondered if it was worth bothering - I usually get them in September.
          I'll buy some later in the week :smile:

            I was even later with them last year and just grew them on in the greenhouse to speed things up a bit. I planted them in the ground in November and they did fine.
