Jellicoe Roof Garden Guildford

    Nestling on top of a multi-story department store in the middle of Guildford, a hidden gem. This water garden was originally designed and installed by the late Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe in 1958. The garden, seating and viewing platforms are spectacular. The public can walk through the pond garden on stepping stones, and a waterfall cascades down the south side of the building.

    The above photo was taken a few years ago after it was restored. I visited again yesterday to see how it looks, there are now barriers to stop the unwary walking off the edge, it's like an infinity pool.
