Jelly substance on peaches

I bought a patio peach tree in the Spring ( it was supposed to be an Apricot ! ) It has 7 large peaches on it. I have noticed on the fruits that are adjacent in a bunch, there is a clear jelly like substance at the stem end. Any ideas anyone ?

 

I`m wondering if, perhaps, the fruit is bleeding. is there any sign of damage to them? Any chance of a pic or two?:thumb:

 

Peaches are a bit prone to oozing gum from damaged branches, and I think sometimes the fruit can split and the gum oozes from the cracked stone.

 

Thank you both, yes I will take a pic in the morning. There are a group of 3 peaches and where they all meet is where the jelly is forming. It is absolutely clear in colour and there is quite a bit of it. The peaches look fine other than that. They arent ripe yet but are quite big and firm to the touch.

 

Some of the jelly has been washed off overnight by the rain, but here is a pic this morning. It is clear but looks dark in the pic due to shadow

 

It looks like gum to me, not sure what causes it.
