I love these big bold municipal displays:

In the background of this photo is a new(ish) glasshouse containing sub-tropical plants. Better still it's free entry! Well worth a visit if you're in Leamington.

Just outside the gardens over the bridge you can sample one of the saline springs - luckily theres an ice-cream van parked nearby to help take away the awful taste :thumb:

:D All I can say John is this place has the real WOW factor ... absolutely stunning, my sort of place.

The Albizias are in bloom here now but our trees/shrubs/flowers don't look the same as they do in 'controlled envronments' .. ours look shabby because of the wind and sun ... shabby chic I guess ... :heehee:

Thank for another lovely outing. :dbgrtmb:

John, I'm glad YOU like bold Municipal displays and so do I:dbgrtmb: (something to do with growing them:D) but the powers that be here wants to get away from them and mix everything with perennials and such, good job I'm getting out as I prefer the beds as they were, like these.

BTW I think the pink flowered tree is a Calliandra, similar to Albizia but more tropical.

Thanks Nick :) I didn't realise you were so close, we might be going back there, depends on which Uni my son chooses (we were visiting Warwick Univeristy last week, hence the opportunity to visit Leamington Spa).
