Jersey plants direct : a very poor experience

    I have bought from these people, but will never use them again.

    I ordered 4 sets of plants at the end of March 2013.
    The first set arrived in good time & in reasonable condition.
    The next 2 sets were late but otherwise ok.

    the final set, Tumbelinas for hanging baskets, just never seemed to arrive,
    despite emails asking when I was to get them.

    I finally told them to cancel if they couldnt deliver by Thursday May 23rd as we were going off for on holiday that day.

    They delivered them on the Friday, (why did I know they were going to do that)
    and as we werent in, dropped them over the garden gate.

    We found the half dead, mostly broken plants on return from holiday.

    I have asked for my £20 back for these & its not forthcoming.

    I have gone to the Court, but I cant raise a claim in the English small claims court cos they are based in Jersey.
    And, I cant raise a claim in the Jersey court unless I use a local solicitor, or travel there to attend the court in person.

    Well, they might have got away with my £20, but I'll never use them again
    and I strongly advise you not to either.

    Just get in touch with your credit card company and get them to do a cash charge back claim. They are jointly liable so it's sometimes easier to go down that route.

    I think its called "charge back"? :)

    The Credit Card company will impose a fine on the supplier when this is processed ...
