First of all, not sure this is in the right area, so if it's not I apologise.

Basically, I want help. I'm currently working as a garden centre manager for a home and leisure company, and I want to start working for a company that actually cares about plants.

    So.....

If anybody hears of any garden centre or nursery jobs going, could you please let me know? :)

I can relocate, so pretty much anywhere's fine.

    ta all

When Fletchers closed I had a chance of working for them, no thanks. The same with Wyevale.

got the usual retail/customer service/management experience. Also some basic Horticultural qualifications (C&G tree n shrubs, veg growing, and sitting the RHS general next week)

I'm a manager, so wouldn't say i was good at much, just love working with plants, and learning about them.

Me too, I was plant manager for 7 years, pretty good if I do say so myself. Got a long standing job offer from a Cornish GC to set up a self contained nursery, but the housing situation down there prevents it for now.

swanseadel, although not in the same line of business i can really understand your wanting to work for a company that cares. well done on you. It's not often you find people that do care these days, no matter what business, so I hope you find something that keeps you happy (and therefore your employers) & interested for many years. do let us know how you get on.

    cheers
