I had an email from peter White @ Jungle Gardens saying that they were not going to product plants any more (the seed business, and corms for Ginger and Cannas will continue).

I think their Ensetes are better than the ones in the sheds, but maybe I'm imagining it ... but either way I've splashed out on a pair (E. montbeliardii and E. maurelii) of replacements in case mine snuff it ... or heaven forbid that they flower :hate-shocked:

Sad to see them go - I've had a few plants from them over the last couple of years, all have been nicely grown ; have to say I tended to buy things in the sales since the full price was quite high for something that has a 50/50 chance of getting thru the winter with me - it must be very difficult to compete with the cheap imports from the continent (and beyond) now.

Was going to get a couple of lemon trees to go in the second greenhouse Im planning next month but faffed about too long & now they are all gone. Anyone know where I can get reasonably priced small Meyer Lemon trees ? Im going to try growing them as an espalier if I can find some suitable victims.

Not upset :) I think the Ensetes from Jungle Gardens are far superior performers to the ones in the sheds, but its a debate we've had before, so happy to agree to disagree :)
