It's taken me three years to get my juniper to get settled, its now about 2ft across, but I want to move it. When and how can I do this?

I'd wait until it goes dormant Ming - probably in November. Then dig it out with as large a root ball as you can manage and plonk it into a new hole at the same depth and firm the soil well before watering it in. If it's 2ft across, the roots will be at least that in spread, but don't worry too much if you have to prune some. A bit of bone meal, or fish, blood and bone mixed in with the planting soil will help give a bit of a boost come next Spring.
