I seem to get loads of junk mail delivered by the postman during the afternoon it has no stamp and its probably just extra deliverys as the normal mail comes early morning..I allways find it irritating and if i dont get to the door before the dog it gets shredded into confetti then their are little bits to clear up..anyway this morning i saw a thing on aol news how you can stop recieving it..So they will be getting a letter from me ..if you too get loads of it then this is what you have to do..

Stop Royal Mail delivering unaddressed post to your door

But you can put a complete stop to the Royal Mail delivering junk mail to your door.

You need to send a letter or email to: Door to Door Opt Outs, Royal Mail Door to Door, Kingsmead House, Oxpens Road, Oxford OX1 1RX; or email them at: [email protected].

    You need to write:

ââ?¬Å?Reference: Request to stop Door to Door mail being delivered to my addressââ?¬Â, and include your full name and address, including post code, a signature and the date.

I write "Junk Mail Unwanted" on unaddressed envelopes and stuff them back in the letterbox. Hope they get the message! Royal Mail is going to increase the delivery of unaddresed junk mail (at present they are supposed to limit it to 3 items per week)

If the junk mail is addressed to me, it goes in the shredder and then into my compost bin. Don't put anything which shows your name and address into your dustbin or paper re-cycling box. Shred it first - the identity thieves will use it if they find it.

    Hi Wildflower

We signed up with the MPS service years ago - and only get the odd (litereally) one or two direct from the postman now and then.

We also signed up with the TPS (telephone prefernce service)at the same time. I can't remember the last time we had a sales call.

It doesn't cost a penny and it really does work.
