Just a reminder to check those plants you are overwintering in your greenhouse, remove the dead material that could harbour botrytis and kill those slugs.

I recently put a lot of plants and young seedlings into my summerhouse (I don't have a greenhouse). Having removed all the slugs three weeks ago, I went through them again yesterday, and was amazed at how many slugs there were. And thats on top of 2 foot and 4 foot staging.

Just been doing exactly that, Peter! No slugs, but some decomposing pelargonium leaves - not nic.

I have a load of hedichiums inside, they are looking lovely huge and healthy. I remarked the other day that there was a strange square mark cut out of one of the leaves.

The next day I found the culprit - a huge fat green caterpillar which was gently dispatched to the bird table!

My greenhouse has just arrived, but its very depressing - all those bad moods from Mr Waco who is trying to follow the instructions for assembly!

now there is a thought dendy - throw the "Confusions" away and we may get somewhere.

At least it makes all those tedious school carol concerts woth while (getting out of the house that is)
