            I'll try and describe it Woo. :) A Carrion crow has a straight beak that blends into his face with feathers around it. A rook has a slightly hooked beak that looks like it's been stuck on with grey putty. :heehee:

                  Another easy way of telling the difference between the two: If you see one bird on its own, then it's a crow, as they are mostly solitary. If you see a group of the birds, they'll be rooks, which are far more gregarious and rarely found alone.

                  There's an old East Anglian saying which sums it up perfectly; "If thaas a rook, thaas a crow and if they're crows, they're rooks."

                  EDIT, You beat me to it Zigs. Glad we're agreed on that. :)

                          Woo, that isn't a very good image of a Rook, I can't find a decent one on the web either. :doh:They visit my garden from time to time so I'll keep my camera handy and see if I can get some shots for you. :)
