Just an update..

    APERFECT.jpg APERFECT.jpg APERFECT.jpg Back garden is coming on really well but I abandoned the plan of gravel planting out the front. Not going to happen because under the black membrane is yet more hard packed ancient gravel and it's too hard for us to dig. So next Spring I'm getting a biggish raised bed made for there. Once again many thanks for all lovely help and encouragement from you lot:spinning::biggrin:

        Yes! I think the husband got carried away and laid it too thick. But there's nowhere else to put it and anyway we're too decrepit to try :biggrin: Here's what it was like when we moved in:

        Ive never tried it but you can get a substance that you pour onto loose gravel to stabilise it to some extent.

        I'm assuming it's some kind of glue and how effective it is, I wouldn't like to say.

                This is what I had seen, or similar, as I say not perfect and never tried it.
