I had a wander around in the greenhouse and out in the garden today, I've bought a tripod so was eager to try it out with the camera on those settings that need a longer exposure.
I dont know what I'm talking about so I'll stop. :D
Any way this is some of what I took.

The Adenium obesum have started to flower at last, sown twelve months ago.

    Lovely photos, Pete!

Love the adenium :D Your crinodendron is a lot bigger than mine, and rather in advance on flowers. And I agree (again!) - must be a campanula!

Great work, Pete! Critically sharp focus, and excellent depth of field. Very good indeed! Lots of GC pix seem to be "soft" - the polite word my agent used to use when my images weren't quite crisp enough for him to sell!!! But these are wonderfully clear.... Let's see some more!

Beautiful photos, pete, but must admit I shall have to look a few up I've never heard of ... like that Adenium obesum, beautiful.

You have the same Oleander as I do, double pink, and I didn't know you had my signature! [IMG]

Pete - lovely pics and plants. That Crinodendron is a smasher - looks like it can get pretty big.

My parents had one in Cornwall- one of the first things they planted when they retired- after 25 years it was a proper tree. It's on my shopping list! [IMG] again

The crinodendron is at least ten yrs old Liz, but I do cut it back from time to time, it suffers badly from red spider mite, so struggles a bit when its dry.
The Adenium is a first for me, have tried for a few years to get seed to germinate, but I got this batch from the US, since then I have got a couple more on the go from seed from E bay, I'm hoping for some variation in flower.
Thank for the encouragement photographically wise Hyla, I know very little about the subject, but depth of field was what I was aiming for, I have far to many pic with just the focus on the foreground.
LOL, I thought you knew I had Victoria [IMG] and that nerium wont flower outside for me.

    pete, no I didn't. [IMG]

Surely you can take the Oleander outside in the summer to get the fresh air with you? I can't believe it won't flower in the summer there, at least in your location.

Waco, where on earth do you find to go on holiday, the Dales are great, are you after sun?.
I dont think a crinodendron would reach tree size in my garden but I did see one in Heligan that was almost a tree, I think they like a lot of moisture and no really hard frosts.
And, no, LOL that nerium just does not open its flowers outside, thats why I bought the two new single flowered ones this year.
