    Just for fun would anybody like to guess what this is. The flowers are about 1.5cm diameter. They surprised me.

    Or a Hawksbit - sorry grey cells produced that, have no idea what it is other than a wild flower.

    Its very much cultivated, except this one "escaped".
    Pete was getting warm, as it is a food crop.

    The colour of the buds is important, and I have seen carrots that colour, but its not a carrot. Sorry. :D

    You're right. It was an Oakleaf lettuce that bolted while we were away for a week.
