Hi all, as some of you may be aware we treated ourselves to a new car in November (well, 4 years old which is new to us). We have been very good with it and garaged it every night, whereas we used to leave the old one parked outside at the front.

Well, last Saturday we opened the garage door after not using the car for 2 days and found one of the strip lights together with odd bits of wood etc had fallen from the ceiling onto the car! Quite a few scratches and a dent in the bonnet. We could have cried.

Hubby said he would get it seen to but being impatient like I am, I was out on my own on Tuesday (teach him to feel unwell:hehe:) and I popped into the showroom where we bought it and told the salesman about it. He knew somewhere etc etc. So, the car was collected Tuesday and brought back today as new:yho: OK so it cost us £250 but the service was great and it looks brilliant again.

Yes, we have cleared the garage a bit and tightened up remaining lights:o To top it all, Ray had just ordered a new bed and treated me to a new bedroom TV! He's now skint:D

So, should we have left it outside? No, we have to get a shed to put stuff in from the garage:wink:

    cheers

 Oh borrowers what a nightmare for you...!!! I think a new shed is best as your Ins is supposed to be cheaper if the vehicle is safely locked in the garage..!!!:dh::D Poor you, but glad you got it sorted for a reasonable price.:thmb:

I know it is not much consolation, but £250 for professional bodywork repairs is not bad at all if they've done a good job. My mate paid £300 just to have some rust removed from one wheel arch and have that panel resprayed.

I know this is an old thread but guess what.......

Since that last post I have....

reversed into bushes (twice):cry:I knew they were there, just misjudged how far the back of the car stuck out.
had one more bump parking into the garage:cry: left something lying where it shouldn't have been!
and this morning, after a faffy time, tried to shut the garage door but the bumper as in the ways00kNice bit of blue paint on it now! I wouldn't mind but I wasn't even parking the car in the garage at the time:flag:Don't ask:mad::hehe:

have now got to try and fix these scratches etc ourselves. We do love our car really.:dh: Can smile now but didn't feel like it at the time. For the first time ever, as far as I can remember, I felt like really smashing something:mad:, so I got out of the kitchen quick:help:

Oh well, it's got to be a better day tomorrow:ntwrth:

    cheers
