Just thought I would share this

    This is a rose from my parents garden. They sent me this pic earlier today. My grandad passed away 16 years ago but he would have been 92 today.
    He adored his garden (and 2 allotments) and was really into messing with engines (like me). I'm the only person in my family with so much in common with his interests.
    I would give anything for him to walk round my garden with me chatting about all the plants I have here, passing on his knowledge.
    Golden showers was his favourite rose.

      I recognised it straight away, it was my Mums favourite as well. :smile:

      Beautiful rose and how lovely it's still blooming on the anniversary of your beloved grandfather's birthday. I'm sure he still walks round the garden with you all the time.

        Beautiful rose: how thoughtful of your parents to send you that picture today; you must be a very close family.

        I don't think we ever stop missing loved ones who have past that we have been close to :grphg:
