Just To Let You All Know

Hi everyone,

Just popping on to let you know I might not be on the Forum much in the coming days as Mr Kandys father passed away yesterday evening.

As some of you will know he had a fall at the care home last Tuesday and banged his head so was rushed into hospital and after lots of tests was released back to the care home.Anyway he was rushed back to the hospital Saturday morning as he was unresponsive when the carers went to get him up so we have all been at the hospital on and off all weekend and yesterday.We wasn't with him at the time but he was peaceful at the end so didn't suffer.

We can't complain though as he had reached the grand old age of 95 years and 10 months so had had a good innings...

Good afternoon everyone,and hope you are all ok

Many Many thanks for all the good wishes and condolences and I have passed on the messages to Mr K

We finally have more or less everything sorted for the funeral which is going to be on Tuesday of next week so all being well we shall all get to saying our last goodbyes then

Things were a bit slow to begin with as there were a few issues of cause of death(kidney failure and sepsis)which needed to be looked into but everything went through eventually so all we need now is some decent weather for the send off and not that bitterly cold wind we had yesterday as some of the friends and relatives who are coming are quiet elderly themselves and we don't want them catching a chill so to speak,although saying that Mr K has gone down with a stinking cold as of today so hopefully he won't be sneezing and coughing all over the place while we are trying to sing Abide With Me

Lori,My FiL was two months off his 96th Birthday which would have been just a few days after Christmas Day so we were all hoping he would make it but sadly it wasn't meant to be. I think we will have rain for tomorrow so that will do my arthritis a lot of good but needs must as they say

Well the day went off ok and the weather was dry but bitterly cold outside and the Crem was freezing cold inside so I couldn't stop shaking despite a thick coat and it didn't start to rain until we left the hall late afternoon.

It was so nice to meet up with everyone for a nice mug of hot tea and a sandwich which went down very well plus a good natter as some of the relatives had travelled down from Aberdeen and from Germany to pay their respects

Mr Kandys cold has got worse so he has woken me up with his snoring,nose blowing etc and he tells me his throat is so sore it is like sandpaper has been rubbed on it


So here I am on the settee with me throw wrapped round me until the heating warms up the house and Davina is snuggled down asleep on my lap

sorry to hear Mr Kandy is feeling worse, I'm sending get well wishes to him.

I hope you've got an easy day ahead of you, I'd stay cuddled up on the settee with Davina if I were you!
