Hi Friends I have been given a kakoo Plant today, All the person said was that It is from New Zealand,Can anyone Give me some advice on its position Ect,Oh Its covered In Bright red Flowers.
Hi, WOO! Can't find anything about kakoo, but have found KAka in the pages about New Zealand Flora - could this be it? http://netlist.co.nz/communities/NZGardens/NLpics/Kakabeak.jpg
A warm winter spot, prefferably against a sunny wall Woo. It can take some frost but the flowers form early and can get frosted.
That's lovely, pete. If it's a NZ plant, may not like it here. Are we too dry here for such? By the way, t'other half just came in and said the BoPs are already looking healthier in the ground ... thanks for harping on.
Sorry LOL didn't actually spot that that was a question. I think you stand a pretty good chance with it, given that it gets at least some irrigation in the summer, mines in a very dry spot and gets just the occasional watering in summer, although I realise its not as dry as you can get or as hot. I think it would really like your warm wetish springs, just right for flowering.
