Kannaviou Dam

    We came across this dam while out for a drive one day -

    It was a beautiful day, so we stopped here for a picnic lunch overlooking it -

    Several views of the lake, and, as you can see, the water level had dropped quite a bit -

    Look! no handrail!!! s00k The mere thought of walking down these steps made me queasy!

    Great pics Kedi-Gato weather looks good to what is the climate there, I agree about the steps a bit daunting

    I forgot to mention that this dam was in Cyprus. We were there on holiday in January and we had a rental car for one week, so we managed to get around quite a lot sightseeing.

    The weather was nice nearly all of the time. Daytime temps between 16 and 20°C, chilly in the evenings though. Some rain, but mostly during the night.

    Stunning pictures of the dam, Sis. I certainly wouldn't fancy a saunter down those steps .... s00k

    There is such peace and serenity associated with these areas and I never tire of them. As you know they are building our Iberian Lynx Breeding Centre at the dam just up from us as it will be a fantastic area to let them run free when the time comes.

    We went up by our dams last week after all the rain and they still look drastically low ... but assume the water table beneath is holding its own. :thmb:
