The Managing Director of Kent County Council is leaving after eighteen months ... and is taking a nice bit of bunce with her. Apparently she probably won't be replaced, as the council has decided it can function perfectly well without her. Which makes one wonder why they ever thought she was necessary in the first place. BBC News - Kent County Council boss leaves with £400,000
That's an obscene payoff amount. It isn't just Kent, all the councils are at it, the chief execs move from one council to another collecting golden handshakes and payoffs on the merry go round. Nice work if you can get it.
I have got one of these working with me at the moment He has taken three councils to court to date, and now he has produced the rabbit out of the hat with the Gov He started off getting himself on a Video of how great the job was (promoted) Now he has declared he can not sit at a desk for more than twenty minutes (MEDICAL), so requested an ARMCHAIR Declined Now on the same pay but sits at a desk for ten minutes doing nothing, then walks around the building for fifteen minutes, all day every day, occasionaly delivers post around the desks When he started, I had the pleasure of joining him to do training for new starts in Glasgow, so we were away from home in a Hotel DIY paid for meals on a Wetherspoons budget Got our meal, and a pint which I paid for, I drank mine and sat and sat drumming fingers, Oh do you want another one ? YES please, I will just get myself a half, then Just wet my lips ready and he says I think we should go back to the Hotel I feel a bit woozy So we went back and thank $EITY for revolving doors, as we entered he said I am just going to the loo, OK, I continued on through the revolving doors back to Wetherspoons 99p a pint for Spitfire beer :-) Four years now he still has not got his BIG PAY OFF only does nowt all day but walk around the building for 15 every 10 ? On his second Tribunal now ? Ooops must take the medication off on one again Jack McH
Hmmmmm, I believe that is about $600,000 dollars, yep thats a nice chunk. However, she needs to invest it properly. And depending on her age it may or my not be enought. Is that before or after taxes???
It's enough to buy 4 nice houses, and rent them out at £550 per month. Bringing in a pre tax profit of around £500 per month per house, equating to a minimum of £2000 per month, gross income. Not a massive income by today's standards, but more than enough for a comfortable life, and not bad considering there's no work involved, and property is still there to sell for at least as much as you paid for it, give or take a few percent. In other words, as long as this woman isn't too greedy, her payout is more than enough to set her up for an easy life for the rest of her life.
To judge from her photo I'd say she has a good few years' worth of work left in her. I can't say I weep for her future.
PS I think she's fiftyish. No worries, then. The local Morrisons is still recruiting a few shelf stackers.
