Keeping it simple

    Sometimes a single colour in the right container can be very effective. Deep red petunia in an old drainpipe.

    It looks great Hornbeam.Very effective and a good colour.
    Next year you will be able to try something else in the pipe and so on,and by having photo's you won't keep repeating yourself, unless you want to that is.

    You ought to set up a new line selling those, you could make a fortune...If you need a buisness partner...

    Hornbeam that's a lovely colour. I do agree with you. All the books and TV suggest putting a variety of different things into one pot. That's OK if you only have one pot. But if you have a number it looks messy. I tend to restrict pots to just one type of plant. Is is the same principle as planting things in drifts rather than individually..
