A great place to buy plants. Admission £6.00, under sixteens go free if accompanied. Although I wouldn't advise dragging unwilling teenagers around. I left mine to sulk in the refreshments area a couple of years back ( I did take him home in the end, obviously).

    Hi ClaraLou
I'm sick as a parrot that I'll miss it this year, as I wanted to buy my summer bedding and also lots of herbs at the show. We're going to Devon for the Bank Holiday, so I can't moan too much, although it does mean I'll have to pay top whack for my bedding at the GC now, I suppose!
    Hope you enjoy it, anyway.

    Hi Tiarella,

Enjoy your holiday in Devon :gnthb:. You could probably pick up some real bargains at the wonderful GC's down there and they are usually a lot cheaper.

Have a good time, Tiarella. Funnily enough we were down near you last weekend - popped in for a cuppa at Lathe Barn in Burmarsh.

Wow Shiney - just seen your lovely garden pics. You would laugh if you saw mine at the moment - it's a tiny town garden and I am currently digging most of it out and starting again. My family calls it my 'scorched earth policy'.

    Hi Clare,

You've got to start somewhere :thmb:

When we first moved in the place was a jungle that hadn't been touched for years. It wasn't until some years after we moved in that we found we had a couple of chicken sheds at the back of the garden :hehe:

Sadly, Shiney, your place is in the opposite direction to where we're going, so we can't even do a detour en route. I'd have loved to do that, having had a look at your thread with the photos. Still, as you say, there could well be some nice plant sales going on in Devon whilst we are there. I can hope so, anyway.....
Good luck with the "scorched earth policy" ClaraLou, I'm sure you'll find plenty of inspirational plants at Detling to effect a transformation :gnthb:
