I normally grow king Edwards but when I looked in the local garden centre they were poor quality, I have read that kestrel are similar what are peoples thoughts.

    David,

I have grown both and found that they yield much the same and both are good to eat. If you do not try you will not know, Your taste buds are different to others on here, so try and see for yourself what you think.

Kestrel are 2nd early, King Eddie's are main crop. Kestrel will mature earlier but not crop as well as King Ed's.

The British Potato Variety Database 'ave a shufti 'ere.

    Cheers, Tony.
