Kew Gardens

    Hi

    We are thinking of going to Kew Gardens tomorrow, has anyone been and able to offer any tips etc.?

    I was there last week and my advice is take the tractor train that runs round the site (you can get on and off where you want, as often as you want) and then you will get a glimpse of everything before you make up your mind up what you want to concentrate on.

    My opinion, anyhow....enjoy your visit! I certainly did.....

    Its a lot to take in in one day, I've been a few times, but I dont think I've seen it all.
    Also it changes each year to some extent, it really depends on your interests.
    Have a feeling the glasshouses will be HOT tomorrow, especially up in the roof of the palm house,the humidity is amazing, but not to be missed.

    Take your camera! And do take it a bit at a time. What I did was to walk around slowly, taking my time to get used to the layout, then the next visit I stuck to one area, then it was one theme..... but that was a bit of a cheat as I was with a group and we had one of their excellent guides, when the autumn colour was incredible.

    You will enjoy it, it's a lovely place. The cafe does nice cakes too :rolleyes: [​IMG] [​IMG]
