    Good evening everyone,

Last year my neighbours' Bamboo ran into my garden and started coming up at an alarming pace. After I informed them they got a professional in to remove however the runner that I chopped off my side I recently noticed had a fresh shoot.

It will be a large/difficult/destructive job to remove the raised bed that's there and dig out the roots. I was wondering if there was a Bamboo root weed killer I can use? I have a general weed killer that I use but I know some of the act on leaves. I don't have any leaves to act on.

The weed killer I have is...

    Any suggestions?

If you can get it into the centre of the stem, that helps. For knotweed, I cut off the top, poke a screwdriver down the middle past the next node, and use a needle-less syringe to fill the centre with neat glyphosate. SBK is also good.

Bamboo is a grass, is it not?
SBK does not kill grass as far as I know.

The Glyphosate you have should kill it but you might need to persist, painting it on neat or as already said poured neat down the centre of the stems should work I would think.

I was wondering whether drilling into the stem might help. I do have some syringes too.
I will give it a go.

Just something I read on the label a long time ago. Probably pretty toxic on undiluted form I suppose.
