    Hi everyone,

I have a Kilmarnock Willow and this is it's second summer with me. A week or so ago I noticed the leaves on the top were turning yellow and now the top part of the tree is going bald and the leaves are turning yellow now to about a third of the way down the tree.
My mother in laws is doing the same. Whats wrong?

From what I remember from the Victorian Kitchen Garden, they used to give their fruit trees at least 2 gallons a day in hot weather. It might look wet on the top but it takes a lot to wet the soil deeper down.

        :D

Glad I could help Dave. Take a cutting just to be on the safe side, incase they turn the water off like in 1976.

        Anyone remember that ?

yep it was the wettest September I can remember, that year.:D

I'm not sure a cutting of kilmarnock willow would be any good.

I think its one of those weeping types, is it not?
Usually grafted onto the top of a standard stem.
